Lotus on Water
"Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely." 1 Corinthians 13:12

This side of Heaven, life can at times be a great mystery. We often don't see the shaping of our destiny's in our one-sided view, except by faith or revelation.
The gentle wave in this painting represents the waters of life, which sometimes grow turbulent, making the reflection distorted. Such times can be deeply painful.
But we hold on to hope, that though we may not have answers, we can draw near our Life-Giver, the lover of our soul. And the unexplained will make sense in eternity.
This painting is my artistic equivalent of the age-old tapestry metaphor where one side is chaos, but on the other is a masterpiece.
