On a stunning January afternoon in 2022 I jumped in my car and escaped to this oasis with the express goal of capturing as many beaches as I could before the sun dipped too low in the sky. My first stop was this beautiful beach, which of course had to be trekked to be photographed, so I climbed the steep path tucked below the flax in the foreground. The 360 degree view and fresh sea breeze was worth it.

I captured five perspectives that day, one of which I've painted from the perspective of the knoll (middle distance) looking toward where I was standing; also called Ocean Beach. The others I will paint in time.

There was far more detail in this one than I had estimated, but places of interest are important to me to have geographically correct.
